About

I was born on July 3, 1960 in Farmington N.M. and at the age of one we moved to Reno, NV. We being my parents, my older sister, and me. At the age of three my father decided the job scene here in Reno was not good enough and so he left us. We proceeded to move in with my grandparents for a short time and until I was about six, when my mom re-married, it was just the three of us. Thanks to my grandparents it was never really a hardship for us.
I wrote my first poem “Summer Rain” when I was in high school. It is about my first love. Although I have always had an active imagination I didn’t write any more until I was in my thirty’s starting with “Weary Warrior” and then I started to come up with them every so often. It wasn’t until recently that I decided I needed to put my thoughts on paper.
I have a chap book that is complete, and I am working on a fiction novel, and a couple of non-fiction books. One of which is supposed to be a semi-humorous look at life, the other book is not so humorous. I prefer writings that provoke thought and conversation.
Quick up-date: the aforementioned chap book is now in publication. It is titled ‘Mingling Hues of My Mind’ it can be found at Publish America.

  1. Hi! My name is Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and site. I found your blog today and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in getting 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

Just to let you know, our site SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a fun level-up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue
